UPS Forms Malaysian Alliance

United Parcel Service Inc. has formed an alliance in Malaysia that will allow customers in the Southeast Asian nation to ship express packages all over the world.

Atlanta-based UPS reached the deal with PosLaju, Malaysia's top courier company by market share.

The new service called PosLaju International Premium will enable Malaysians to use the UPS network for express shipments to 215 countries. The service offers a money-back guarantee as well as the chance to specify day of delivery and track packages. It is expected to cut international package transit time from Malaysia in half.

PosLaju will offer the service in all of its 52 outlets throughout the country.
